HAILEY LOVASZ - PRESIDENT

Community Roots Organization was built from a simple belief: our kids deserve a place where they feel seen, supported, and inspired. This project is about so much more than a skatepark. It’s about creating opportunities, building connections, and giving our community’s youth a place to grow, dream, and belong - a place where they feel at home when home doesn't.

DANIEL AYMOND & CHRISSY AYMOND - VICE PRESIDENT/ TREASURY 

I fell in love with action sports around 1996 when I first seen the X Games. I quickly became passionate about BMX and inline skating; watching Dave Mirra and Matt Hoffman compete and perform amazing stunts. Growing up out in the country meant shoveling dirt to make little jumps for my BMX bike. I dreamed of riding parks and hitting jumps like my heroes did. I want to give kids an opportunity to enjoy an alternative action sport in their hometown.

SAMUEL FLOYD - VIDEOGRAPHER 

I’ve been riding bikes for as long as I’ve been aware of my life. Born and raised right here in town, I’ve experienced the challenges that come with being an action sports athlete in the rural south. I’ve spent years traveling from California to Florida, and just about everywhere in between, searching out the best places to progress my skills. I’ve documented my rides at some of the many places I’ve been across the United States, and had the joy of experiencing the community that make action sports so powerful. I’ve had some of the best moments of my life on two wheels and I have a passion for sharing that joy with others and encouraging them to experience it for themselves. I’m honored to be a part of this committee because I know exactly what a skatepark can mean. It provides passionate kids with a place to go, a reason to be out progressing instead of getting into trouble, and a chance to be part of something real. I want to help make sure we build a park that reflects the heart of this community and gives the next generation of riders, skaters, and creators a place to push themselves. 

DAVID NEALY - VICE PRESIDENT/ WEBSITE MANAGER 

I’m a proud husband and father of two wonderful children. But long before family life became my greatest joy, my world revolved around skateboarding. I picked up a board at 15 and instantly fell in love with the sport—it became my passion.

Growing up in Jena, I quickly realized how difficult it was to find safe and dedicated places to skate. Like many kids with similar passions, I often felt pushed to the sidelines because alternative sports didn’t have the same support as football or baseball. I know firsthand the challenges our youth face when pursuing something outside the mainstream.

That’s why I’ve joined this effort—to help create opportunities for the next generation that I never had. Our community thrives when we support all of our youth, not just some. My hope is that this project will give kids a safe space to follow their passions, build friendships, and grow into confident young adults.

BREANNA MORACE - EVENTS COORDINATOR 

I’m Bre—a local creative who loves planning events, supporting projects that help our community grow in the right direction, and finding new ways to make our youth feel more connected and included. Our youth, especially those that aren’t involved in mainstream sports, deserve a space that’s built for them, where they can finally be seen, supported and included.

MANDY ANDERSON - TREASURY/ GRANT WRITING

As a social worker, I’ve seen firsthand how important safe, positive spaces are for young people and families. Joining the Community Roots board gives me the opportunity to help build something that goes beyond a skatepark—it’s about connection, confidence, mentorship, and creating a place where our community’s youth know they belong.

Community has always been deeply rooted in my heart, but how can we have community if no one builds it? Therefore, I'm committed to building our community -- for the sake of myself, my children, and untold others like us.
